Assistant Building Surveyor – Oxfordshire

New opportunity for an Assistant Building Surveyor within this busy multi-disciplinary private practice of construction consultants.

Our client is a is a busy multi-disciplinary private practice of construction consultants providing a broad and varied range of professional building surveying, project management and structural inspections services. They are highly regarded in the area and have a strong client base covering the Leisure, Housing Associations, Local Authority, residential and Commercial sectors.

They currently have a new opportunity for an Assistant Building Surveyor within their team in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Person specification:
The successful applicant will be an Assistant Building Surveyor with a RICS recognised degree in Building Surveying.

You will have good AutoCAD or Vector Works skills and knowledge of essential construction details.

Good understanding of CDM, Party Wall, Building Regulations and Planning Legislation is essential.

Though not essential, it would be advantageous if your experience included the maintenance and construction of residential and public buildings, offices, care homes, community facilities, leisure facilities, hotels, churches, listed buildings, social housing and multi-occupancy hostels.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Working alongside a Senior Building Surveyor: –

• Managing specifications of work through standard forms of contract
• Report writing
• Client liaison
• Delivering professional services.

Salary & Package:
All packages are commensurate with experience and can include: Full assistance with APC, performance related bonus, pension scheme, and private health care, subject to status and on completion of a satisfactory probationary period.
