Assistant Building Surveyor – APC – Surrey

Our client is a well established firm of Building Surveyors that has grown steadily throughout the recession. This robust business can attribute its success to a broad client base, including; private property companies, local authorities & housing associations, the NHS and Schools.

Over the last 20 years they have built a proven training process for APC which has a great success record. There is a genuine career path within this practice with candidates having joined as juniors and progressing through to Associates and then Directors.

With a strong staff retention record, their team of Surveyors provides traditional building surveying services and they are currently searching for a Building Surveyor for their Surrey offices.

Person specification:
The successful applicant will be working towards their APC and can have experience across any of the practices business sectors.

They will be driven towards success and searching for an opportunity in which to really grow and develop their experience.

– Knowledge of building regulations and other statutory requirements
– A working knowledge of Microsoft applications
– The ability to work individually and as part of a team
– Be comfortable liaising with client and colleagues
– General Building Surveying experience

Role & Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will develop their experience across the following areas:

– Carry out surveys for defect analysis and specifications
– Contract admin
– Dilapidations
– Party wall work
– Specification
– Tendering
– Contract administration for repair, maintenance, extensions and alterations
