Our client is now recruiting for a talented and motivated Assistant Building Surveyor to join their established team in Bristol. This position will have great opportunities for progression through to seniority within the business.

Person Specification:

The successful applicant will be qualified with a RICS recognised in Building Surveyors with 2-4 years post graduate experience.

You experience will straddle both project and professional work and you will ideally have had experience in some or all of the following sectors:-

• Residential
• Workplace
• Education
• Healthcare
• Commercial
• Defence
• Retail
• Conservation

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Able to deliver a wide variety of projects from inception to completion including feasibility studies, design/detailing (CAD), specification, contract administration and cost control.
• Rigorous in evaluation of building condition
• Accurate identification and investigation of defects and able to produce cost conscious solutions for a variety of building defects
• Knowledge of building and preventative maintenance requirements
• Strong time-management skills enabling management of own workload within allocated time-scales with timely preparation of reports, specifications, schedules of work and drawings
• Clear and concise report writing
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, word, excel and project
• Knowledge or an interest in conservation
• Knowledge of The Party Wall Etc. Act 1996
