This modern construction company is now recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a Senior Surveyor on a large scale social housing project, initially in a project site office in Hailsham, East Sussex.

With successful projects spanning over almost 150 years, this stable Chartered Building Company operates across a broad range of project sectors including housing, education, healthcare, community, commercial and historic.

They are about to start a £20million Social Housing project in Hailsham, East Sussex which consists of c.100 houses, some of which will be shared ownership.

Our client requires an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work alongside the Senior Surveyor, based in a site office in Hailsham, East Sussex.

Person Specification:

• Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• 1+ years practical experience
• Experience in Sub-contractor packages essential
• Experience in Social Housing projects preferred but not essential

Roles & Responsibilities:

Based in a site office, you will assist a Senior Surveyor. Duties will include: –

• Sub-contractor accounts
• Procurement
• Main Contractor valuations

The Scheme is just over 100 houses/apartment and will last for a duration of 130 weeks.

Salary & Package:

Our client is paying a package of up to £40,000. Salary will be up to £35,000 + Car/ Car Allowance. Salary dependant on experience and background.
