Joining this growing PQS firm as Associate Quantity Surveyor Designate, you will work alongside the outgoing Partner whose position you will take over in 18 months. Fast progression for someone keen to take a leading role in the PQS division of this growing multi-disciplinary property group.

Company:

An established PQS firm predominantly working with large architectural practices from Mayfair to Marylebone, their client base extends across a broad range of projects, including; high-end residential, commercial, hotels, restaurant chains and offices. The majority of their work is located in the Kensington, Mayfair and Marylebone area.

Their work covers a wide range of projects both in size and type ranging from £500k to £25m, with projects varying from alterations and extensions to existing buildings, to handling major new build and refurbishment projects involving the highest quality of finishes.

As part of the succession plan this Associate Quantity Surveyor Designate will be working alongside the incumbent who will be retiring in 18 months. Alongside any work that they may generate or bring with them, they will become familiar with all existing clients and the systems and processes used within the company. Based from their Central London offices in Cavendish Square, they will also spend c. 2 days/week visiting the Harefield offices to immerse themselves fully in the running of the company.

As the role develops and you assume greater responsibility, bonuses and incentives will be increased and Share options will also be an option.

This Associate Quantity Surveyor Designate will suit an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor with the experience, drive and desire to run the PQS division of a multi-disciplinary property group within 18 months.

Person Specification: Associate Quantity Surveyor Designate

• Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Associate
• 5 years + practical Experience
• Proven experience at a Senior level
• Ideally Chartered, MRICS, but not essential
• Excellent communication and client liaison skills

Roles and Responsibilities : Associate Quantity Surveyor Designate

Due to the importance of this role the responsibilities will develop overtime with full responsibility being taken over in 18 months. Alongside all the standard Senior Quantity Surveyor responsibilities, the successful applicant must achieve complete the following: –

• Develop relationships with the existing client base, gradually assuming control of them over the next 18 months.
• Hiring of staff as the practice develops
• Develop new areas of the business and help build stronger relations with key clients
• Assist with present contracts where required plus be able to develop their own clients and projects, for which there will be incentives with suitable bonuses
