Our client is a RICS Chartered Multi-disciplinary practice of Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers based in Hove, East Sussex.

They are a dynamic and friendly company operating across the following project sectors; Education, Technology, Science, Commercial, Heritage, Conservation, Sports & leisure, Residential, Community, Health and Care.

In-line with planned growth for 2020, they are now recruiting for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their busy team in Hove, West Sussex.

Initially working under an Associate Building Surveyor you will likely have 2 junior staff reporting in to you and you will have a broad range of project and professional instructions. You will then have the opportunity to progress to Associate and beyond in line with the companies long-term succession plan.

Person Specification: Chartered Building Surveyor

• The successful applicant will hold a RICS recognised degree or equivalent
• You will have strong practical experience at a senior level
• You will ideally be Chartered, MRICS, although this is not essential
• You will be confident in working independently and will be comfortable leading others
• You will have excellent communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities: Chartered Building Surveyor

• You will be comfortable undertaking a range of project and professional work without instruction from day one
• Working under an Associate, you will comfortable leading junior staff
• Running projects of varying sizes and sectors
• Building Pathology inspections and reports
• Preparation of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Party Wall advice, as both Adjoining Owners and Building Owners surveyor
• Preparation of drawings for planning and building regulation submission, including detailing of works for construction
• Preparing specifications, tendering and providing contract administration services
• Preparing schedules of condition
