As well as range of project sectors mentioned above the also undertake specialist conservation work on heritage buildings with their professional practice work including building surveys, defects investigation, party wall advice and expert witness services, maintenance planning and dilapidations.

Our client is now recruiting for a talented and motivated Chartered Building Surveyor to join their established team in Bristol. This position will have great opportunities for progression through to seniority within the business.

Person Specification:
The successful applicant will be Chartered member of RICS (MRICS) with 2-3 years post qualification experience.

You experience will straddle both project and professional work and you will ideally have had experience in some or all of the following sectors:-

  • Residential
  • Workplace
  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Commercial
  • Defence
  • Retail
  • Conservation

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Able to deliver a wide variety of projects from inception to completion including feasibility studies, design/detailing (CAD), specification, contract administration and cost control.
  • Rigorous in evaluation of building condition
  • Accurate identification and investigation of defects and able to produce cost conscious solutions for a variety of building defects
  • Knowledge of building and preventative maintenance requirements
  • Strong time-management skills enabling management of own workload within allocated time-scales with timely preparation of reports, specifications, schedules of work and drawings
  • Clear and concise report writing
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, word, excel and project
  • Knowledge or an interest in conservation
  • Knowledge of The Party Wall Etc. Act 1996
