This thriving multi-disciplinary practice of more than 18 staff operated across 3 offices and now has an exciting opportunity for a driven and talented Building Surveyor to join their dynamic and energetic team in Buckinghamshire.
At present, our client’s Building Survey requirements have been sub-contracted out, but as the business has grown there is now a real need to bring this in house. Whoever takes on this role will have the opportunity to take on, develop and then grow this division of the business. They will get the chance to really own it and use their experience to help develop processes within the division.
Our client is happy to invest in whatever equipment is required to make this division of the business move forward successfully and the successful applicant will be a part of this specification process.
Each of the 3 offices remain interactive with one another, using skype as a form of regular communication. MAs a team, they meet on a regular basis for both training and social events including race days, treasure hunts and fun competitions. The latest challenge for those that are interested will be a “round the island” race on paddle boards based out of the their Thames-side office.
Their philosophy is to remain client focussed and with plans to expand the company by at least 50% within the next 18-24 months, there is the potential to spread in to new sectors and disciplines allowing plenty of room for growth.
The successful applicant will be an Assistant Building Surveyor or Building Surveyor with experience in Measured Building Surveys on residential projects, ideally high-end Domestic extensions and New Builds.
You will be qualified with a RICS recognised degree or equivalent.
You will be within a similar role conducting measured surveys of buildings and be confident using ‘Total Station / Theodolite ‘ surveying equipment.
You will be presentable, adaptable and able to think on your feet. You will also be proficient on CAD software – ideally AutoCAD or ArchiCAD.
Roles & Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for capturing accurate surveys and then transferring data into high quality, accurate plans and elevations.
Salary & Package:
Our client offers a salary of c. £30,000 to reflect the background and experience of the successful candidate.
