Our client is a Multi-disciplinary consultancy offering property support and project delivery services from offices in London and across The North.

They have over 30 years’ experience providing a complete package of professional and contracting products and services and have a strong reputation for delivery within a number of project sectors.

With strong growth in their Northern Offices our client is now recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor within their Manchester Head office.

This Quantity Surveyor will be jointly responsible with the Project Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor for the safe, profitable and quality delivery of projects within the retail banking sector.

Person Specification:
The successful applicant will be a Quantity Surveyor. Qualified with a RICS accredited degree or equivalent, you will ideally be working towards Chartership. Our client is keen to support staff through their APC.

You will ideally have experience within retail banking projects or other large framework projects.

You will be a self motivated, positive member of the team with excellent communication skills towards colleagues, clients and contractors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Be jointly responsible for the profit and loss performance of projects ensuring financial, commercial and operational reporting processes are followed and to provide accurate information.
  • Be responsible for all cash management including the preparation of the respective Cost, Value and Reconciliation (CVR) reporting.
  • Be responsible for the confirmation and implementation of all contractual and commercial agreements with customers.
  • Be responsible for the planning, selection, monitoring and development of all colleagues and suppliers under your management responsibility.
  • Be responsible for the preparation and effective management of the project procurement schedule.
  • To implement and maintain an effective Client Relationship Management strategy.
  • To ensure the effective implementation of the company’s Quality Management Systems.
  • Act at all times as an ambassador for the company and possess strong personal qualities of professionalism and integrity in accord with the company’s visions and values.
  • Health and Safety – ensure all projects are delivered to the highest safety standards in accordance with company standards and applicable legislation.
  • Ensuring account growth including the development of other business strands and service lines.

Salary & Package:
Our client is focussed on finding the right candidate for the company and so is keen to offer a competitive salary dependant on your experience. Alongside a competitive salary our client will offer the following package.

  • Car allowance or company car – car allowance £4,463 pa or whole life cost of £650 per month for a company car. Fuel card included.
