Senior Building Surveyor - Consultancy - West End, London

Great opportunity for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to take on a Senior role within this well respected and dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy in the West End of London.

Our client is a well respected construction consultancy firm offering a multi-disciplinary offering to a broad range of industry sectors, including offices, retail, industrial, education, conservation, leisure, residential and healthcare.

With offices in Kent, London and Essex, this multi-disciplinary consultancy offers a wide range of services, including; Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Employer’s Agent, Site Inspector, Health, Safety and Environmental Services and 3D CAD and BIM Services.

With continued growth across all sectors, our client is now recruiting for a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor in their London office.

This position involves undertaking general building surveying duties for commercial, retail and higher education Clients.

Person Specification:

• The successful applicant will be a Chartered Building Surveyor, qualified with a RICS accredited degree or equivalent.
• You will have MRICS status or be experienced and soon to pass your APC.
• You will either be Senior Building Surveyor or ready to step up to that level.
• You will drive projects forward in a proactive manner, be a team player, focused on excellence in service delivery and communications with Clients and Contractors alike, be extremely organised, personable and have a keen eye for detail.
• The successful applicant will have experience in various forms of construction.
• Experience in acquisition surveys and project work would be an advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Undertaking surveys
• Preparing feasibility reports
• Writing specifications
• Chairing project progress meetings and thereafter preparing minutes and progress reports
• Seeking instructions from the Client in relation to the contract
• Administrating change control procedures and issuing instructions such as variations, or relating to provisional sums or making good defects
• Co-ordinate and instruct site inspectors
• Agree defects reporting procedures
• Collate and issue schedules of defects as necessary and issue certificates of making good defects
• Ensure all project documentation is issued to the Client

Salary & Package:

Our client offers a competitive salary of up to £60,000 plus package, dependant on your experience, as well as the opportunity for genuine progression within this established company.
