Senior Building Surveyor - Private practice - Edgware - London

New opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor within a growing private practice offering responsibility and involvement in the business as it grows. This private practice offers a family feel in a professional environment.

Our client is a growing private practice that has recently been successful in winning a number of new clients and framework service contracts primarily in the residential maintenance and refurbishment sector. Due to this new growth our client is now recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor to join their busy Edgware office.

The successful candidate will sit below the Managing Director, working as a No.2 within the practice. Alongside a generous package you will be an important part of the business as it grows and will have the opportunity for increasing responsibility.

Person Specification:

• The successful applicant will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Building Surveying.
• You will ideally be Chartered but this is not essential and the company will assist with APC if this is required.
• Have a minimum 5 years related professional experience (post graduate).
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Have a dynamic and personable nature and personal drive and self-motivation.
• Have good organisational skills and work to agreed timetables.
• Work as part of a team and demonstrate good people management skills.
• Be computer literate (Knowledge of: MS Office, AutoCAD, NBS & MS Project would be advantageous but is not essential).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• The successful applicant will be expected to work independently, manage other work colleagues and develop existing and new client relationships.
• Contract specification and administration on a range of minor and major works projects.
• Professional services to include: preparation of feasibility, cost appraisal and budget reports, defects diagnosis, building specification and design, condition and building surveys, planned maintenance surveys, insurance claim validation works and party wall surveys.

Salary & Package:

Our client is offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000 plus a structured bonus scheme . They are also happy to offer paid CPD and professional fees.
