Our client is a multi-disciplinary building consultancy, providing building surveying, architecture, building engineering services, planning and sustainability advice within a range of industry sectors, including; commercial, healthcare, education, residential and community.

With commissions range from large-scale new build and refurbishment projects to medium size design and construction work our client is experiencing national growth across all offices and hence is now recruiting for a Team Leading Chartered Building Surveyor for their offices in Billericay, Essex.

As a Team Leader Chartered Building Surveyor you will join a team specialising in the Education sector.

Person Specification:

The successful applicant will be a Senior or Associate Chartered Building Surveyor with full RICS membership.

You will have proven senior level experience in Education projects and proven business development skills.

You will be a technically competent with a dynamic personality, willing to work in a client facing role.

You will have an outgoing approach, be client facing and adept at winning work.

Roles & Responsibilities:

To work as a Senior Building Surveyor to provide the broad spectrum of building surveying services provided by the Practice. The post holder will operate within the Building Surveyor team based in Billericay with a focus on Education projects. Ensure all duties assigned are completed as directed within set timescales. To assist the team and take responsibility for projects assigned to you as well as facilitating new instructions.

Alonside the role of Chartered Building Surveyor you will also fulfil the following responsibilities: –

• Monitor the day to day workload and capacity of your team to deal with current and future known work streams.
• Maintain an overview of the work commitments of the team and work with other teams within the company, in collaboration to ensure that best efforts are made to meet project commitments across the practice.
• Monitor team holiday/study leave forms and timing of this to ensure sufficient resource is managed within the team to meet ongoing work programmes. Ensure relevant knowledge is passed to cover staff before and after holidays on each project covered.
• Assist Partners/Directors in general matters related to client relationship management as may be required.
• Attend and contribute to management meetings held within office as required by the Partners/Directors on a branch by branch basis to assist in the general running of the office.

Salary & Package:

Our client is offering a salary of between £60,000 – £80,000 per annum depending on your level of experience, along with the following package:
